About Us
Our staff believes in contributing to a community where all people can
gather, speak, eat, share, and solve.
Our Founders, Raven and Nithya, met teaching in Oakland schools in 2023 and developed a shared passion for accessible culinary and nutritional education.
Agrarian Community Kitchen and Labs, though new, quickly found a niche within the Bay Area service community, and has been a powerhouse ever since. Our nonprofit has been operational since early 2024, debuting at a health and resource community fair at Planting Justice, a prolific nursery and urban farm. We are funded through a combination of service contracts, grants, donations, and product sales.
True wellness can be found in global recipes packed with seasonal fruits and veggies. Agrarian is led by two founders who are deeply connected to global foods and cultures. At Agrarian Community Kitchen and Labs, our staff has years of experience in food service and barista work and experience running cooking programs across the Bay Area.
We are passionate about vegan and vegetarian cooking spanning all cuisines, as well as sourcing traditional recipes and organic produce for our free meal pass-outs and culinary programs. Agrarian CKL frequently leads no-cost bulk distributions of vegetarian gourmet foods, from roti rolls to house-made vanilla creme sodas to pear cinnamon tarts and vegan orange chik’n, to name a few recipes.
